High Intensity Training Frequency

How often to do high intensity training?

Q. I'm 20 years old, I have searching the web for workout advice and HIT seems like the logical way to go. But there is one thing that I am totally confused on, how often should I do high intensity training? I have read, 4 days a week, 3 times, twice and even once every 7 to 10 days. Which one is right? Help me, I'm very confused!

A. I can understand your confusion, as far as high intensity training frequency there is a lot of conflicting advice out there. Some of the advice is good and as far as some of the other advice I think some people are smoking crack rather than working out.

The truth is not everyone has the same tolerance to exercise or recovery ability and in the long run you will have to see how your own body responds and decide the right frequency for you. But with that said most people will do great on 3 times a week or minimally 2 workouts a week. My advice to people who only workout once every 7 to 10 days is - put the crack pipe down, get more sleep, better nutrition, MAN THE %$*@ UP and get to the gym!

For the best high intensity training techniques and workouts you should get yourself a copy of the new HITMAN High Intensity Training Manual and see for yourself how people are gaining 20 to 30 pounds of muscle in just 3 months!
