Bodybuilding and Sleep

How Much Sleep Do You Need For Bodybuilding

Sleep is a vital part of the bodybuilding puzzle. Be sure to sleep at least seven to eight hours a night. Insufficient rest is the leading cause of overtraining and growth stagnation.

Your body accomplishes the majority of its recuperation and growth while you sleep. Your immune system and central nervous system also recharge themselves at night. If you don't get enough sleep, you will not experience the progress that you could be making.

Lack of sleep is one of the main causes of overtraining and contributes to many health problems, including colds, the flu, headaches, depression and lack of energy.

It's true that each individual requires a different amount of sleep, but during this program, try to get seven to eight hours of rest each night. Whatever the amount you decide on, you should awaken feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Proper relaxation allows your body to recover from the training stresses you place on it.
