Vanadyl Sulfate for Bodybuilding

Does vanadyl sulfate work?

Vanadyl sulfate came on the bodybuilding scene some years ago. Many bodybuilders experienced dramatic increases in size and strength which made it one of the most widely used bodybuilding supplements on the market. Many of the claims of bodybuilders using vanadyl have recently been supported by scientific research.

Vanadyl sulfate works by mimicking the effects of insulin. Many physicians recommend it to their patients to control diabetes. Insulin controls the amount of carbohydrate and protein that is used by the skeletal muscles. Using vanadyl produces the same effect without putting additional calories into your body. You also sidestep the problem of eating too many carbohydrates and having them stored as body fat when you supplement with vanadyl. It is this phenomenon that causes bodybuilders to feel more "pump" during their workouts.

In the studies conducted athletes using vanadyl sulfate made significant increases in their one-rep max and in their ten-rep max compared to the control group, (20% to 14% and 27% to 22% respectively). These results were obtained in only a short 4 week course. Of Course, as with any supplement, the dosage is important. In this study conducted at the University of Otago in New Zealand 'the test group was given an oral dose of vanadyl sulfate equal to 06/mg/kg/day.

Increasing body weight without adding fat is something all bodybuilders are after. Vanadyl sulfate promotes increased muscle mass when involved in high-intensity, short-duration type of training. The study also showed that it takes about 2 weeks for vanadyl to reach a steady state of concentration in the bloodstream. So if you're going to try it, give it at least a month. After 4 weeks you should see some noticeable results. Make Sure to keep your protein intake high during this time. At least 1-2 grams per pound of bodyweight. Give it a try and let us know your progress.
