Hardgainer Diets

When it comes to a hardgainer diet one of the main ingredients you will need to consume is protein. This is a nutrient that helps repair all of the muscles after exercise. In order to get protein you will need to consume certain foods. The best foods that contain protein are in the form of lean meats. Foods such as chicken, eggs, tuna, nuts, fish and steak are among the best sources of protein. Having protein shakes is also a good source to use for protein as well.

During the process of having a hardgainer diet, you will also need to consume a good amount of carbohydrates. This is important because you will need a way to give your body fuel and also prevent it from using protein for energy. The best foods that contain carbohydrates include brown rice, whole wheat bread, whole grain cereal and pasta. By consuming these foods you will get the carbohydrates you need to help gain more muscle mass.

It is also a good idea to get plenty of fiber, vitamins and minerals as well. The foods that contain these types of nutrients include fruits and vegetables. The best foods include grapes, apples, plums, oranges, broccoli, string beans and carrots.
