Fat Hardgainer

Workout and diet tips for the fat hardgainer

A hardgainer basically is an individual who works out at intense levels with weights but fails to make any real meaningful improvements to their physique. For example, an individual can train intensively for six straight weeks, but the desired changes after those particular periods of time still have not enhanced your muscle size and overall physique. If you've experienced such scenario, than you may be a hardgainer.

Another way to define a hardgainer is they are classified in the ectomorph somatotype category, basically people who are naturally thin and seem to never gain any weight no matter what or how much he/she consumes per day. But there is also the problem of the skinny fat hardgainer or the hardgainer with belly fat.

Below are some useful guidelines and advice for the fat hardgainer...

Fat hardgainer workout

A majority of gym enthusiasts adhering to a traditional workout course don't realize that it is actually a counter productive step to try and follow workout programs that they find in the latest issue of a muscle magazine. For a skinny fat hardgainer, the workout should be radically different when compared with other body types and conditions.

Stick to compound exercises such as squats, bench press, barbell row, standing press, curls and calf raises.

Rather than doing cardio limit rest between sets to 60 seconds or less, this will give you both a muscle building and fat burning workout in one with the minimum wasted energy.

Workout only 3 to 4 days a week and for no more than 45 minutes each.

Fat hardgainer diet

To get rid of hardgainer belly fat and build solid muscle, diet is a key component. A high protein intake will serve as the fertilizer that will sprout out those big lean muscles and support their growth for the long-term.

Also lowering your intake of sugars and refined carbohydrates, will help you reduce body fat while increasing your muscle definition.

Furthermore, make sure that the type of carbohydrates you do take in are of complex variety rather than the simple or high glycemic variety.
